Dr. Doughty grew up in South Florida but finished college at Texas Tech University. He later earned his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After working for several years as a general dentist in Florida, Dr. Doughty enrolled and completed a residency in the specialty of endodontics at the Temple University School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia. He has been practicing endodontics in Austin since 1994.
In his spare time, Dr. Doughty enjoys outdoor related activities, namely hunting and fishing.
Dr. Galian came from the Philippines as a toddler and grew up in Long Island, New York. He completed his Bachelors of Science in Biology at Siena College, in upstate New York. He received his dental degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Masters of Public Health degree from Harvard University Chan School of Public Health in 1993. Afterwards, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dr. Galian completed a general practice residency in hospital dentistry with a broad exposure to patients with a variety of medical conditions. From there, Dr. Galian came to Texas to pursue specialty training in endodontics at the University Health Science Center Dental School at San Antonio. He went on to practice for a few years in southern Connecticut before arriving in Austin in 1998.
Dr. Galian is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Capital Area Society of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the local Capital Area Dental Society. He more than exceeds the minimum requirement for continuing dental education as dictated by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. He is licensed to practice dentistry in Texas and Massachusetts.
Personally, Dr. Galian has been married for more than 23 years, and is the father to two daughters, two dogs, and three cats. He enjoys traveling, gardening, photography, and home improvement projects. He is also a limited-time motorcar enthusiast and a fan of the San Antonio Spurs.
Dr. Ganne joined Austin Endodontics in 2005. She received both her dental degree and certificate in endodontics from the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. After graduating, she worked in a group endodontic practice in Connecticut, before coming back to Texas where she and her husband have family.
Dr. Ganne works Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in our Cedar Park / North office. She is in our Austin office on Fridays. She and her husband have two daughters and a small dog.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, the Capital Area Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, Women of Austin Dental Group, Mommy Dentists Group, and Austin Indian Dentists.
Dr. Galvan grew up in Longview, Texas, and in 1986 he received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. He completed his dental degree at the University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio in 1990 and then one-year General Practice Residency at Ft. Riley Kansas. While in the Army, Dr. Galvan served as the Army’s Liaison to the American Dental Association’s Committee on the New Dentist and received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1995. During his time in the military, Dr. Galvan commanded the 89th Medical Detachment in Heidelberg, Germany and was chief dental officer for the US State Department’s Joint Services Deployment “Operation Provide Hope IV” to Minsk, Belarus in 1994.
After serving as an Army general dentist for 8 years, Dr. Galvan went back to school and received his certificate in Endodontics from the Medical College of Georgia and the U.S. Army in 2000. He practiced endodontics in Louisiana for two years before coming to Austin Endodontics in 2002. Dr. Galvan continued his military duties with the Texas Army National Guard where he served at State Dental Surgeon until his retirement in 2010 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Dr. Galvan is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Southwest Endodontic Society and the Capital Area Dental Society. He has published dental articles in the Journal of Endodontics, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Journal of Military Medicine.
Dr. Galvan works full time at our South/Westlake office. Dr. Galvan is married with one child and in his spare time he enjoys watching college football, traveling and swimming. He also announces for the varsity sports teams at Regents School.
